You only need to use the license deamon if you have a floating license.
What is the command line you are using to start the license server?
I suggest on Windows using an MSYS shell and the following command line
| Code: | /c/Imperas/bin/Windows/lmgrd.exe -z -c /c/license/imperas.lic
|
Where your floating license details are contained in the file C:\license\Imperas.lic
On linux this can be started in a shell, for example
| Code: | Imperas.<release>/bin/Linux/lmgrd.exe -z -c license/imperas.lic
|
Where both the Imperas/OVPsim installation and the license directory containing the license file are in the current directory.
You can find out more about the FlexLM licensing in the document Imperas Installation and Getting Started and see section "Setting up Licensing" |
